This course provides insurance professionals with an overview of the long-term care (LTC) insurance marketplace. Participants will learn about the need for LTC insurance, the design and structure of policies, and the products currently available. In addition, participants will learn how Baby Boomers are beginning to influence where people receive their care and more importantly who is able to provide the care. The course also reviews group LTC opportunities, tax considerations, tax- incentives provided by the Pension Protection Act and recent state and federal legislative updates. By the end of the session, attendees will have a clear understanding of how to assist clients—both individuals and employer groups—with LTC planning.
